Via Dinarica

The Via Dinarica - Dinaric Alps’ mountain corridor is located in the heart of the Western Balkans and passes through 7 countries in the Western Balkans all the way from Slovenia, Croatia, Bosna and Herzegovina to Montenegro, Albania, Kosovo and Serbia. Each country offers a vast range of activities, from adventure to relaxation, on both land and water and many more, visitors can also enjoy experience traditional lifestyles and taste the local cuisine of the highlands.The Via Dinarica is hiking and biking trail in the cross-border region of Montenegro running east from Durmitor National Park into the National Park “Accursed Mountains” in Kosovo and extending further to Albania on the north. The Via Dinarica features 2 long-distance uninterrupted trails, which represent uninterrupted physical activity related to two sectors - hiking and biking as the main tourist activities but also links with other adventure products such as Via Ferrata, Caving, Zip line, Thematic trail, Waterfall etc.

The Via Dinarica mega trail was the Best New Trail in 2014 according toOutsidemagazine, the bestPastemagazine’s trekking path in 2015, a 2016 must-see by bothWanderlustmagazine andThe GuardianandNational Geographic Traveller’s “Best of the World” destination for 2017.The Community Development Fund (CDF) has been the main partner of the EU for the development and promotion of the Via Dinarica in through cross border projects in the territory of Kosovo, Albania and Montenegro.
