The castle is located in the Municipality of Artana, about 30-35 km west of Gjilan and about 39 km south-east of Pristina, where the ruins of the city and the medieval fortress of Novo Brdo are preserved.

Gjilan Regional Museum offers visitors over 500 exhibitions and objects preserved from the history of this region. The objects have been discovered in Gjilan, in the villages of the city over the years and for each of them there is a story.
