Sharr Mountains National Park has alpine and continental influences. The average monthly temperature ranges between -1.3 ° C (29.7 ° F) in January and 20 ° C (68 ° F) in July. The average annual rainfall ranges between 600 millimeters (24 inches) and 1200 millimeters (47 inches) depending on the altitude. The flora of the park is represented by 1558 species of vascular plants. The fauna includes 32 species of mammals, 200 species of birds, 13 species of reptiles, 10 species of amphibians, 7 species of fish and 147 species of butterflies.
Some of the plant and animal species found in this park and its suburbs, ie in other parts of Mount Sharr, are present only there and in the Albanian Alps, some of them are known only in the region and many of them are in the list of endangered species. Taken as a whole, these species are of special interest, inevitably also with a tourist connotation. This park is rich in flora and fauna.
