Lake Batllava

Lake Batllava is a maximum depth of 48 meters. In this lake is a water extraction plant. It has three levels (bottom, middle and near the water surface). The best water is from the middle. The water from the plant then goes to the factory which is on a nearby mountain. It is guarded by KFOR. There the water is introduced for purification, chlorination and then distributed through two pipes. One pipe goes to Prishtina (Half of Prishtina is supplied with it), which has a capacity of 1000 liters per second. The other pipe goes to Podujeva which has a capacity of 250 liters per second. In one year the aqueduct draws 34 million tons of water from the Lake. Batllava has an area of 3.29 km.
