The Newborn Monument is a typographical sculpture and tourist attraction in Pristina, Kosovo. It is located in front of the Palace of Youth and Sports (Palace of Youth and Sports), and was promoted on 17 February 2008, on the same day that Kosovo declared independence. The monument contains the English word "Newborn" in capital letters, which are colored yellow in color when the monument was first discovered. The monument was later repainted with state flags that recognize Kosovo. The newborn will color differently every February 17th. The monument attracted international media to report on Kosovo's independence, and was featured prominently on the front page of The New York Times.
