Cave Great Gorge

The "Great Gorge" is the deepest cave ever found in Kosovo. It is featured in the European journal of speology and constitutes a natural wonder of Kosovo.

The entrance to the Great Gorge Cave was localized in May 1992 by five Slovak speleologists who were crossing the Rugova Gorge on the way to Macedonia, although this cave has been known by local residents since time. It is located on the left side of the canyon, 50-60m above the rivers, on the heel of a gigantic, rocky cliff with a height of about 350 m.
