Klina as a municipality has a suitable geographical and economic position, lies to the west of Kosovo, north-east of the Dukagjini Plain. The municipality of Klina has an area of ??308.8 km 2. It borders with the following municipalities: Peja, Istog, Skenderaj, Drenas, Malisheva, Rahovec and Gjakova.

The municipality of Klina was established in 1954 and has 14 territorial communities (village centers) with a total of 54 settlements.
