Hiking


There are more than 25 hiking clubs in Kosovo that organize various hiking events. The most popular in Pristina are: "HikingNjerii" and "USA Pristina" but still Prizren is known for most hiking associations. In recent years, walking in Kosovo has received increasing support from various foreign organizations such as "USAID", "EU Commission" and "Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCYS)". The most frequented mountains are Sharr Mountains, Kopaonik, Has Mountains, Rogozna, Prevalla, Pashtriku, Brezovica etc.



Skiing


Winter tourism in Kosovo has a relatively recent tradition and as such it is still identified with the Brezovica ski resort. However, in recent years, in some parts of Kosovo, there has been a boom in the mountain tourism sector, such as: Rugova (Peja), Prevalla (Prizren), Brod (Dragash) and Bajgora (Mitrovica), where several winter recreation centers have been built along with ski trails


Climbing


Climbing the mountains is an attraction more concentrated in the Rugova Canyon in the suburbs of Peja, a city in the southwestern part of the country.



Paragliding


Kosovo has natural resources that provide excellent conditions to perform this sport. Kosovo Aeronautical Federation is established in Kosovo which includes paragliding.


Cycling


The Kosovo Cycling Federation was established in 1950, but cycling has begun to develop more after the war. There are currently 10 clubs across Kosovo that include over 80 athletes of all categories.



Mountain cycling


Mountain climbing is a relatively new attraction in Kosovo, the development of this attraction being made possible by the geographical position of the mountains. Mountain cycling is more rapid in the Rugova Mountains.


Bowling


There are several bowling centers in Kosovo, the most popular being "BO Bowling", "BO Bowling @ Albi", "Dafina Bowling" which have world-class conditions to develop this attraction, also established in Kosovo. also the Bowling Federation



Kayakim


Red, orange, green, yellow. Choose one of the kayak colors to navigate the blue waters of Lake Badovc, surrounded by lush forests, about 16 kilometers from the capital of Kosovo.


Paintball


Paintball is an attractive sport developing in Kosovo. Paintball-Kosovo is the largest company, which provides access to large numbers at the same time. The fields are arranged according to the plan of England's most popular Paintball fields.



Minigolf


The Kosovo Minigolf Federation was officially established in the Pristina Sports House on 27 July 2011 and was admitted to the World Minigolf Federation on 21 August 2011 at the World Minigolf Federation Assembly in Stockholm, Sweden. Part of the Federation are the 'First Block', 'Sunny Hill' and 'Tick Media' clubs from Pristina, the '' Dardana '' club from Kamenica, as well as the '' Eco Club '' from Mitrovica.

Security

Kosovo is a very safe place to visit. Most of the visitors who read about the history of the wars in Kosovo had another impression, but after the visit stated that they had received a very good impression and felt safe in every respect.

Visa Requirements  

For European and American countries, a visa is not required to visit Kosovo, and countries on other continents should contact the relevant offices.

 Time Zone

The time zone of Kosovo is the Central European Area (CET), an area used in most European countries.

Clime

The climate in Kosovo is a continental climate, resulting in hot summers and cold winters. Due to the uneven altitudes in different places in Kosovo, there are differences in temperature and precipitation. December and January are the coldest months, July and August are the hottest months of the year. Snowfall can be expected between November and March.

The official currency

The euro is the official currency used in Kosovo. Many countries also support credit card payments.

Cars for rent

Rental cars are offered by various private firms in Kosovo. Many of these firms are located at Adem Jashari Airport, but also in different parts of cities. Their prices are reasonable, depending on the types of vehicles.

Urban traffic

The cheapest way to get around the city is through urban transport buses. Pristina has different bus routes that send almost every corner of it for just 40 cents a ticket. Bus lines are also used to move between Kosovo cities at very cheap prices.
